Snorkeling Trips Hurghada Ranked by Price 2026
Hurghada runs dozens of snorkeling boats every morning, and the price gap between the cheapest shared trip and a private premium charter is bigger than most first-time visitors expect. This guide ranks six snorkeling trips in Hurghada by price tier, from the entry-level shared boat to the splurge-worthy specialty excursion, so you know exactly what you're paying for before you book. TL;DR • Giftun Island Snorkeling Trip is the best overall pick for snorkeling trips Hurghada price-conscious travelers want in 2026. • Mahmya Island Boat Trip sits at the lowest price tier, best for families who want calm, shallow water. • Ras Mohammed National Park Snorkeling Trip is the premium tier pick for serious reef quality. • Whale Shark Snorkeling Excursion is the splurge, seasonal pick with the narrowest booking window. • Full-Day Snorkeling Trip wins on total reef time per dollar spent among mid-tier options.
Why this matters
Most "best snorkeling in Hurghada" lists mix trip types without explaining why one boat costs less than another. The real driver is distance: a reef 20 minutes from the marina costs less to run than a national park two hours south, and that gap shows up directly in what you pay. Daily Red Sea's Hurghada excursion lineup spans that full range, from shared half-day reef stops to private small-group charters.
Understanding the tiers before you book means you're not comparing a 45-minute reef stop to a full national park circuit and wondering why one costs more. Price tier tracks distance, boat size, and exclusivity — not just how good the coral looks in photos.
What makes the best snorkeling trip in Hurghada
• Distance from the marina — closer reefs mean lower fuel cost and lower price
• Boat size and group density — shared boats cost less per head than small-group or private charters
